New York City-based Little Airplane Productions’ newly launched non-profit arm Little Light Foundation will serve as home for its short-form preschool series The Olive Branch (26 x one-minute) that’s landed a broadcast berth on Nick Jr. US.

Laced with positive messages about conflict resolution, tolerance and mutual respect, the series has been endorsed by the Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the Simon Wiesenthal Center and UNICEF, and will make its US premiere on June 1 on Nick Jr.

The dialogue-free series uses music and animation to tell the story of two olive tree dwellers who must find ways to resolve their differences and live together peacefully.

The first three episodes will air exclusively for six months on Nick Jr. and on a non-exclusive basis on more than 100 Nick channels worldwide. In addition, KidsCo worldwide has signed on for all 26 episodes. To ensure that children will have an equal access to The Olive Branch, Little Airplane is also offering the program to broadcasters worldwide for a license fee of one unit of the local currency per episode.

In order to help cover production costs, broadcasters can choose to make tax-deductible contributions to Little Light Foundation. Individuals, corporations and foundations can also participate in the Grow A Show program, which allows donors to actively participate in the development and production of an Olive Branch episode.
